Just to clarify things, you have more talent in your little pinky than most people develop over a life time. Your fear of colour certainly has NOTHING to do with a lack of talent, Silly wabbit!
"Why yes, most of the work I do is for agencies, that way I don't have to deal with the clients..."
HA! that is TOTALLY something i would say! priceless!
Your buddy here is spot on with the advice. From what I gathered from this small collection of pencil sketches, there's certainly enough talent in your head to warrant being proud about it. You're already well ahead of most in the field; all those chaps I hear who wish they'd sketch more (me included!)
If you're short of creative outlets, then I-F will really help. The 'broken' submission is kickass, btw. Nice to see new submitters, esp. ones from Winnipeg. There's a few others about, I think.
Hey Jan, these illustrations are amazing. I always knew you were a talented artist...ever since grade 11 art class, when your still life turned out almost as good as mine! :p At least that's how I remember it. Hey, it was 12 years ago, I'm allowed to embellish the truth a little! Keep up the good work!
Hiya, I agree with Sara again, you do have alot of tallent, and I love your artwork!
Blogs are great.. I have one in a forums actually, and it's great for venting and spilling out things when stuff is wrong, or telling about your day if it was a good one.. many things.. random thoughts.. even for posting artwork!
I started my blog for Illustration Friday's too. You'll be amazed how supportive all those folk are. It's a wonderful faraway world that I often dream of when being talked at by clients ;)
